Flooring Repair Across Hampton Roads

Water-damaged, buckled, cracked or squeaky floors repaired with boards that blend in, so you can often skip the cost of replacing the whole room.

Flooring Repair

Targeted repairs that blend right in

Many flooring problems do not require tearing out a whole room. A leaking dishwasher in Kempsville, a toilet seal failure in a Norfolk rental, old termite damage discovered under carpet in a Portsmouth bungalow: in most of these cases we can cut out the damaged section, fix what is underneath and weave in matching boards so the repair disappears.

We find the cause first. If moisture is coming from a crawl space, slab or plumbing leak, we will tell you, because a repair over an active moisture problem will not last. Then we repair the subfloor, replace boards or planks, and refinish or blend as needed.

Based on our lifestyle (multiple dogs, teenage boys) and usage, he gave us recommendations on what kind of flooring to look for… The work is impeccable, the workers were professional, very nice, and cleaned up after themselves. It has been 7 months since my floors have been installed and they look the same today as they did on the day they were installed.

ANR completed two projects: installed retrofit stair treads for our staircase and wood flooring for the stair landing, and later installed luxury vinyl planks in a new closet. Both projects included the necessary trim work. Jorge takes pride in his work and it shows. He did an exceptional job at a fair price on both projects.

Jorge did a fantastic job on hardwood floors that appeared to be impossibly stained. This house had been a pet friendly rental for the last 19 years. These floors now look brand new!! Great attention to detail, professional, great price. Highly recommend!

FAQ

Flooring Repair FAQ

Answers to common questions from Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads homeowners.

Can you match my existing hardwood?

In most cases, yes. We match species, board width and grain as closely as possible, weave the new boards into the existing floor, and then sand and finish to blend the color. Older heart pine and narrow-strip oak floors in Norfolk, Portsmouth and Hampton can usually be matched.

Should I repair or replace water-damaged flooring?

If the damage is limited to one area and the subfloor is sound, repair is usually the better value. If water spread under a large floating floor or the subfloor is compromised, replacement may be smarter. We will show you what we find and give you both options.

Can you replace a single LVP or laminate plank?

Often, yes, especially if you have leftover planks from the original install. If not, we will help you source a match or recommend replacing the room.

How do you fix squeaky floors?

Squeaks usually come from loose subfloor or boards rubbing on fasteners. We secure the subfloor and boards from above or below, depending on access, and can address squeaky stair treads at the same time.

Do you work with homeowners after insurance claims?

Yes. We can document the damage, provide a detailed estimate for your adjuster and complete the repair once it is approved.

How fast can you get to an urgent repair?

We work to fit urgent repairs into the schedule quickly, especially for rentals and leaks. One Virginia Beach landlord had a bathroom floor replaced within two days of calling.
