Virginia Beach flooring
Your hometown Virginia Beach flooring company
Virginia Beach is home base for ANR Flooring LLC. We live and work here, and most of our projects are a short drive from our office near the Lynnhaven and Pembroke area. That means faster estimates, easier scheduling and a crew that knows how local homes are built.
Virginia Beach housing is incredibly varied. Established neighborhoods like Kempsville, Bayside, Thalia and Pembroke are full of 1960s through 1980s ranches and split-levels, many with solid oak hiding under carpet. Newer communities around Landstown, Red Mill and Ashville Park sit on concrete slabs where waterproof LVP or engineered hardwood are the smart choice. And at the Oceanfront, Chic's Beach and Sandbridge, sand and salt air call for floors that can take a beating.
Whatever kind of home you have, we will recommend the floor that fits how you live, from refinishing original hardwood in Great Neck to installing durable plank flooring in a rental near NAS Oceana.

What we see in Virginia Beach homes
Every city in Hampton Roads has its own housing styles and flooring challenges. Here's what matters in Virginia Beach.
Sand is sandpaper
Beach sand tracked in from the Oceanfront, Croatan or Sandbridge acts like sandpaper on floor finishes. We recommend tougher finishes, entry tile or scratch-resistant LVP near the door for beach households.
Slabs in newer neighborhoods
Many homes in Red Mill, Landstown, Salem and Ashville Park are built on concrete slabs. We moisture-test before installing and use engineered wood or LVP rated for slabs.
Hidden hardwood in established homes
Kempsville, Bayside, Thalia and Kings Grant homes often have original oak under carpet. Refinishing it can cost far less than new flooring and add real value.
Military moves & rentals
With NAS Oceana and JEB Little Creek–Fort Story nearby, we help a lot of military families and landlords with fast, durable floors for PCS moves and tenant turnovers.

George and ANR Flooring refinished the hardwood floors in my “new” (93-year old) condo. George was incredibly responsive throughout the process and was patient with my many questions about flooring stains and finishes. I discovered some old termite damage when removing the old carpet, and George and his team repaired the boards so they blend right in… My newly refinished floors (red pine with Duraseal Provincial stain) are gorgeous!
Based on our lifestyle (multiple dogs, teenage boys) and usage, he gave us recommendations on what kind of flooring to look for… The work is impeccable, the workers were professional, very nice, and cleaned up after themselves. It has been 7 months since my floors have been installed and they look the same today as they did on the day they were installed.
Jorge is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He worked around my schedule and the finished floor looks great! I am going to use him on the remaining rooms in the house.
FAQ
Virginia Beach flooring FAQ
Common questions from homeowners in Virginia Beach, VA.
Where in Virginia Beach is ANR Flooring LLC based?
We are based in Virginia Beach's 23452 ZIP code, near the Lynnhaven, Pembroke and Little Neck area. That central location makes it easy to reach every part of the city, from the Oceanfront and Great Neck to Princess Anne, Pungo and Sandbridge.
What areas of Virginia Beach do you serve?
All of them, including Kempsville, Great Neck, Bayside, Red Mill, Princess Anne, Salem, Landstown, Hilltop, the Oceanfront, Chic's Beach, Sandbridge, Pungo, Thalia, Kings Grant, Thoroughgood, Courthouse and Ashville Park.
What is the best flooring for a Virginia Beach home near the ocean?
For Oceanfront, Chic's Beach and Sandbridge homes we usually recommend waterproof luxury vinyl plank or porcelain tile because they handle sand, humidity and wet feet. If you love real wood, engineered hardwood with a tough finish is a great option upstairs or away from entries.
Can you refinish the hardwood under carpet in my Kempsville or Bayside home?
Very often, yes. Many homes built from the 1960s to 1980s in Kempsville, Bayside, Thalia and Kings Grant have solid oak under carpet. We can pull back a corner during your free estimate and tell you if it is a good candidate for sanding and refinishing.
Do you install flooring on concrete slabs in Red Mill, Salem or Landstown?
Yes. Many newer Virginia Beach homes sit on slabs. We moisture-test the concrete and install LVP or engineered hardwood with the correct vapor barrier so the floor stays flat and quiet.
Do you help military families near NAS Oceana and Little Creek?
Yes. We work with service members, landlords and property managers on fast turnovers and move-out repairs, and we do our best to work around PCS timelines.
How much does flooring installation cost in Virginia Beach?
Cost depends on material, square footage, tear-out and subfloor prep. We provide free in-home estimates throughout Virginia Beach with a clear written price.
How soon can you start a project in Virginia Beach?
Because we are local, estimates in Virginia Beach can usually be scheduled quickly, and urgent repairs like leak damage get priority. Call (757) 275-3346 for current availability.
