How long does carpet installation take?
Most homes are done in a day, including removal of old carpet and pad. Larger homes or carpeted stairs may take a little longer.
Should I replace the pad too?
Yes, almost always. New carpet over old, compressed pad wears faster and can void the carpet warranty. Quality pad makes carpet feel better and last longer.
Can you carpet my stairs and put hardwood in the rest of the house?
Absolutely. Many Chesapeake and Suffolk two-story homes mix LVP or hardwood downstairs with carpet upstairs. We can also convert carpeted stairs to hardwood treads if you prefer.
Is there hardwood under my carpet?
In many older Norfolk, Hampton and Portsmouth homes, yes. Before you buy new carpet, let us peek under a corner. Refinishing original hardwood is sometimes the better investment.
Why is my carpet wrinkling?
Wrinkles usually mean the carpet was not power-stretched during installation or the pad is failing. Re-stretching can often fix it.
