Virginia Beach flooring installation
Flooring Installation for Virginia Beach homes
A new floor in Virginia Beach starts with knowing what's under it. Many newer homes in Red Mill, Landstown, Salem and Ashville Park sit on concrete slabs, while many established ranches and split-levels in Kempsville, Thalia and Bayside are built over crawl spaces. Each needs a different approach, so ANR Flooring LLC tests moisture and checks flatness before a single plank goes down.
We're based right here in the 23452 ZIP code, so estimates are quick to schedule. Jorge walks the rooms with you, explains which products fit your household, from waterproof LVP for a beach house with wet dogs to hardwood matched to the existing floors in a Great Neck colonial, and gives you a clear written price.
On install day we remove the old flooring, repair or level the subfloor, add underlayment or a vapor barrier where needed, and finish with baseboard, quarter round and transitions so the job looks complete, not patched.

Local know-how
Flooring Installation in Virginia Beach: what to know
Beach sand & wet feet
Near the Oceanfront, Chic's Beach and Sandbridge we usually recommend waterproof LVP with a thick wear layer, or tile at the entry, because tracked-in sand scratches soft finishes fast.
Slab-built neighborhoods
In Red Mill, Landstown and Salem we install slab-rated LVP or engineered hardwood over a proper vapor barrier after testing the concrete.
Crawl space homes
Older Kempsville, Thalia and Bayside homes over dry crawl spaces can take solid hardwood beautifully. We check crawl space humidity first.

We had Jorge Regalado replace our entire downstairs flooring with luxury vinyl plank. He did an amazing job, and even took the time to correct an underlying subfloor issue by our back door instead of just covering it up. We recently asked him to come back and lay a coordinating luxury vinyl plank throughout our upstairs and on the stair treads. Everything looks perfect.
Based on our lifestyle (multiple dogs, teenage boys) and usage, he gave us recommendations on what kind of flooring to look for… The work is impeccable, the workers were professional, very nice, and cleaned up after themselves. It has been 7 months since my floors have been installed and they look the same today as they did on the day they were installed.
ANR completed two projects: installed retrofit stair treads for our staircase and wood flooring for the stair landing, and later installed luxury vinyl planks in a new closet. Both projects included the necessary trim work. Jorge takes pride in his work and it shows. He did an exceptional job at a fair price on both projects.
FAQ
Flooring Installation in Virginia Beach: FAQ
Common flooring installation questions from Virginia Beach homeowners.
How much does flooring installation cost in Virginia Beach?
It depends on the product, square footage, removal of the old floor and how much subfloor prep your home needs. We give free in-home estimates anywhere in Virginia Beach with an exact written price, not a guess over the phone.
What's the best flooring for a home near the Oceanfront or Sandbridge?
Waterproof luxury vinyl plank and porcelain tile handle sand, humidity and wet feet best. If you want real wood, engineered hardwood with a durable finish works well away from the entry doors.
Can you install hardwood on a concrete slab in Red Mill or Landstown?
Yes, with the right product. We moisture-test the slab, then install engineered hardwood or LVP rated for concrete with the correct vapor barrier. We don't recommend solid hardwood directly on a slab.
How long does flooring installation take in Virginia Beach?
Single rooms are often done in a day. Most whole-first-floor projects take two to four days, depending on square footage, tear-out and leveling.
Do you install flooring for rentals and military moves?
Yes. We work with landlords, property managers and service members near NAS Oceana and JEB Little Creek–Fort Story and do our best to meet move-in and move-out dates.
Which Virginia Beach neighborhoods do you install flooring in?
All of them, including Great Neck, Kempsville, Bayside, Red Mill, Princess Anne, Salem, Landstown, Hilltop, the Oceanfront, Chic's Beach, Sandbridge, Pungo, Thalia, Kings Grant and Ashville Park.
