Flooring Installation Across Hampton Roads
Solid and engineered hardwood, waterproof luxury vinyl plank and laminate, installed over a properly prepared, moisture-tested subfloor so it looks great for years.
Flooring Installation
New floors, installed the right way from the subfloor up
A beautiful floor is only as good as what is underneath it. In Hampton Roads that means dealing with concrete slabs that hold moisture, crawl spaces that breathe in humid summer air, and older subfloors that have dipped or squeaked for decades. ANR Flooring LLC starts every installation by checking moisture levels, flatness and fastening so your new floor goes down tight and stays that way.
We help you choose the right product for each room, not just the most expensive one. A busy Chesapeake family with dogs might be best served by waterproof LVP downstairs and engineered hardwood in the living room, while a Ghent homeowner may want site-finished oak that matches the original floors. You get straight answers and a written estimate.

Based on our lifestyle (multiple dogs, teenage boys) and usage, he gave us recommendations on what kind of flooring to look for… The work is impeccable, the workers were professional, very nice, and cleaned up after themselves. It has been 7 months since my floors have been installed and they look the same today as they did on the day they were installed.
ANR completed two projects: installed retrofit stair treads for our staircase and wood flooring for the stair landing, and later installed luxury vinyl planks in a new closet. Both projects included the necessary trim work. Jorge takes pride in his work and it shows. He did an exceptional job at a fair price on both projects.
Jorge did a fantastic job on hardwood floors that appeared to be impossibly stained. This house had been a pet friendly rental for the last 19 years. These floors now look brand new!! Great attention to detail, professional, great price. Highly recommend!
FAQ
Flooring Installation FAQ
Answers to common questions from Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads homeowners.
How long does flooring installation take?
Most single rooms are finished in a day. Whole-level installs typically take two to four days depending on square footage, tear-out and subfloor prep. Hardwood may need a few days to acclimate before installation begins.
Can you install hardwood over a concrete slab?
Yes, with the right product. Engineered hardwood (floated or glued) and LVP are the best options over slabs, which are common in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake homes. We moisture-test the slab first and use the correct vapor barrier.
Is luxury vinyl plank a good choice near the beach?
LVP is one of the most popular choices at the Oceanfront, Sandbridge and Chic's Beach because it is waterproof, handles humidity and stands up to sand and wet feet better than most flooring.
Do you remove my old flooring?
Yes. We remove and dispose of carpet, pad, vinyl, laminate and many tile floors, then prepare the subfloor before installing your new floor.
Do I have to buy the flooring myself?
Either way works. We can recommend products and suppliers that fit your budget, or install material you have already purchased after we confirm it suits the space.
What causes new floors to buckle or gap, and how do you prevent it?
Moisture and skipped prep are the usual culprits. We acclimate wood, test subfloor and slab moisture, leave proper expansion gaps and fasten to manufacturer specs, which matters a lot in our humid coastal climate.
